How Gift Cards Work

A Locked in Art gift card is a thoughtful way to help someone choose the memorial piece that feels right to them.

1. Choose a Gift Card Amount
Select the denomination you’d like to purchase. Gift cards are available in multiple amounts, so you can choose the option that works best for you.

2. Delivered by Email
After purchase, the gift card will be delivered electronically by email. No physical gift card will be mailed.

3. Share It With the Recipient
You can send the gift card email directly to the recipient or print the gift card details if you’d like to include it inside a card.

4. They Choose Their Memorial Piece
The recipient can use the gift card toward any eligible Locked in Art memorial jewelry or keepsake, allowing them to choose the design, color, and style that feels most meaningful.

5. Use One or More Gift Cards at Checkout
Multiple gift cards can be used on a single order. The recipient simply enters each gift card code one at a time during checkout, and all available balances will automatically combine.

6. Remaining Balance Stays Available
Any unused balance will remain as store credit and may be applied toward a future purchase.

7. Additional Balance Can Be Paid Separately
If the order total is more than the gift card balance, the remaining amount can be paid with another available payment method at checkout.

Production & Shipping

Each memorial is made to order in our Arizona studio. Below are the timelines and shipping details so you know exactly what to expect.

Production Time
Once your ash kit is returned to us, most orders are completed within 4–6 weeks (or 1-2 weeks with a rush order).

Ash Kit & Return
Your ash kit includes everything needed to safely send a small amount back to us. U.S. orders include a prepaid return label.

Shipping Your Finished Piece
Your completed memorial is carefully packaged, fully insured, and shipped with tracking. You’ll receive an email notification as soon as your order is on the way.

Peace of Mind
We take great care to keep every order clearly identified and handled with respect throughout the entire process. All unused ashes are returned with your completed piece.

If anything ever comes up during the process, we’ll reach out directly.

Because each piece is handmade to order using the materials you provide, we’re unable to accept returns or cancellations once production has begun.

That said, we stand behind our work. If there are any issues with your order, please reach out—we’ll always do our best to make it right.

Care Instructions

Your memorial bead is made from durable borosilicate glass with the ashes permanently sealed inside, making it safe for everyday wear, including exposure to water. Unlike resin-based alternatives, the glass will not yellow or cloud over time.

Sterling silver components will naturally tarnish over time. To keep your piece looking its best, we recommend:

  • Removing before swimming in pools or hot tubs
  • Avoiding contact with harsh chemicals or cleaners
  • Storing in a dry place when not in use
  • Using the included polishing cloth as needed

With proper care, your memorial will remain a lasting and meaningful keepsake for years to come.
