This charm can be purchased on its own to add to jewelry you already own, or ordered with select Locked in Art memorial jewelry and attached for you before shipping. Because of its petite size, simple, bold symbols work best and will give the clearest engraved result.

The charm measures approximately 4.5 mm as pictured. Because it is very small, simple designs work best. Final size and engraving placement may vary slightly depending on the symbol selected.
Custom symbol requests will be reviewed before engraving. If your requested design is not suitable for this tiny charm, or your selected jewelry has special placement requirements, we’ll contact you before completing your order.

If you’re purchasing a compatible Locked in Art necklace or bracelet at the same time, we can attach the charm for you before your jewelry ships.
When attaching the charm, you can choose:

Stationary near the clasp – attached so it stays in place as a subtle personalized detail

Free-sliding on the chain – attached so it can move freely along the chain

Charm placement may vary slightly depending on the necklace or bracelet design selected. Some pieces may require a specific placement style due to the clasp, chain, bracelet structure, or overall design. Ordering your personalized symbol charm is simple, whether you’re adding it to Locked in Art jewelry or purchasing the charm on its own.
1. Choose How You’d Like Your Charm
Select either Charm Only or Attach to Jewelry in This Order.
2. Choose Your Symbol
Select from one of our available symbols or request a simple custom symbol. Because this charm is very small, bold, uncomplicated designs work best.
3. Choose the Finish
If you’re ordering the charm on its own, select your preferred silver finish. If we’re attaching it to jewelry in the same order, choose Match the Jewelry in This Order and we’ll coordinate the finish for you.
4. We Engrave Your Charm
Each charm is individually engraved and finished in our Arizona studio. Custom symbol requests are reviewed before engraving, and we’ll contact you if a design needs to be simplified for this petite charm.
5. We Ship It Your Way
Standalone charms will arrive unattached and ready to add to compatible jewelry. If you’re purchasing compatible Locked in Art jewelry in the same order, we’ll attach the charm before your finished piece ships.

Polished vs Antiqued Finishes
Our polished finish is bright, reflective, and clean, with darkened engraving for contrast.
Our antiqued finish has a softer brushed patina, also with darkened engraving, for a more vintage-inspired appearance.
Because each piece is handmade and finished individually, slight variations in texture and patina are normal and part of what makes every memorial unique.

Each personalized charm is made to order and engraved in our Arizona studio.
Ordering the charm by itself?
No ash collection kit is needed. Your finished charm will ship directly to you once it is completed. Standalone charm orders qualify for a reduced shipping rate at checkout.
Adding the charm to a Locked in Art memorial order?
Your charm will be completed along with your memorial jewelry and included with the final shipment. The regular memorial shipping rate applies to the overall order and includes the ash collection kit, prepaid return shipping, and final insured delivery.
